I decided to start blogging about my speaking events so that you can get a little taste of them, too!
On August 30, I visited to Gainsville, FL to speak to the women at the University of Florida.
This amazing event was dreamed up by a sweet girl named Jaclyn, and her friend, Cami.
They read my College Devotional last year and then dreamed up a women’s event called Freedom: No Strings Attached.
SO PERFECT, right?!
They partnered with two campus ministries, Cru and Doulos at UF to sponsor the event and then, after 8+ months of planning, preparing, and praying, everything came together.
WOW, God did big things! I’m so proud of these girls’ diligence and hearts for the sisters on their campus.
One of my favorite parts of the College events is getting to know the gals behind it. I got to have dinner and ice cream with them before the event and I seriously felt like we were old friends. We shared testimonies and stories, laughed, hugged, and of course, snapped photos to document the memory.
These events are so special to me because my own walk with God really transformed during my college years. The fact that God has taken me back to campuses to reach other young women with His Gospel completely overwhelms me!
This event was held in the most beautiful church on campus (that gave me all the heart eyes) and God packed the house with girls from all walks of life.
Here are a few photos by the sweet Kayla Tuckerman below.
The Freedom event at UF has a special place in my heart as I saw girls lives transformed not by my words but by the Gospel. This was a beautiful team effort and I’m so grateful these gals believed in me, invited me join their team, and let me be a part of what God is doing in Gainesville.
Thank you, University of Florida & THANK YOU, Jesus!
Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” Matthew 28:18-20
